Volunteer Application Process

All individuals looking to obtain a head coach, assistant coach, manager, or trainer position with the FYRA for the 2011-12 season must complete the following steps as outlined below.

All individuals must download and complete the attached Volunteer Application form and the required Criminal Record Search process.

The application form and criminal record search must be submitted to the Director of Coaching ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. m for coaches) and to the Director of Managers (currently vacant for managers). Applications will be accepted until Sept 15. Present the Volunteer Form when submitting your Volunteer Form with the city. Background checks are valid for three years are necessary before final approval of your position. Once you have been approved, you will hear from the Director of Coaching Director of Managers. The Director of Coaching will be in contact with coaches concerning your role in your division's player evaluations and draft process.

Background Check Process
A criminal record search completed for another association (ie. Boy Scouts) will be accepted.

Individuals living within the city limits will print off the Police Clearance letter along with the Volunteer form and submit both forms to City Hall along with a payment of $10.00 + tax. The individual will pick up the completed search at the Fredericton police station (311 Queen Street) after ten working days and present two pieces of identification. One piece must bear photograph and signature (ie. driver's license). Please keep your original document as you may be asked to produce it at your coaches meeting. Individuals living outside the city limits will complete the process through the RCMP.

FYRA does cover the cost of the criminal record search and will reimburse.
