Tag Day Organiser Needed
One of our goals at FYRA this year was to create an alternate source of revenue besides registration fees and Early Bird Tournament. Knowing that York Arena staying open will provide us with more ice in the coming years it is important to be able to rent this icetime without seeing major increases in our registration costs.
Four fundraising initiatives were identified
1) Used Equipment Rental Program- completed
2) Community Breakfast - in progress
3) Continuous Bottle Drive- completed
4) Team Tag Days- yet to be done
It is this fourth initiative that we now are looking for an organiser to complete. We need a volunteer to find 8 local businesses (one for each team) who will allow each of our teams to promote our sport and ask for donations of money. This could be bagging groceries or just meeting customers at the out door.
Each team will be given a date and will organise there own rotation of players at the event. Half of the money collected will remain with the team to support the team budget and half will return to FYRA. The organiser will be responsible for having the money returned.
